In honor of father’s day I gotta shout out the 2 men who keep me grounded. James G (My Father) and Frank (my husband).

Growing up we traveled from the time I was born. Born in Nurenburg and the world was my classroom. My dad stood back and was the one who when I asked would always say yes. From school dances , my senior cruise to my first car. He always said yes. But when he felt that you were being dumb he let you know. I went through alot with James G. and now we can laugh about it. I hated him as a child at times for his critical nature and ways but he was always a father and a provider. I never went without. We are just alike in many ways and I can appreciate that now.

My husband is so much like my dad it is a shame. Between his love of Star trek and history to his constant ways of overcoming all obstacles. From the time we met I knew he would never be happy with the bear minimum and he would take care of our family and protect as a man should. He did not meet my father until we were married about 6 years but him and my father got along like they were old friends, many times at my expense….Watching movies and just talking about politics. They were on the same wave length. They were equals in mind set.

Me and father are very much alike, which is why when I was young we  bumped heads. Now, we laugh and joke and he gives me a lot of spiritual advice. I appreciate him because I know what he went through as a child and I see how far he came. No excuses, no expectations just like my husband I am lucky and blessed to have 2 strong men old me up. Happy Father’s Day
