If you’re a Christian why do you sound like every other Christian?? Don’t be a Christian cliche.

Jeremiah 1:4-5
Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the natioIsaiah 64:8

But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.

These 2 verses are saying that each of us is made personally by God. As a crafter I know when I make something that it will never be exactly like a previous creation no matter how hard I try. However, when I see many Christians, they put so many rules and regulations on what you can and cannot do. What you can and cannot say. The same verses..the same songs..the same emphasis on what is right or wrong (as long as it does not personally affect them) which in my opinion is very cowardly.

However, God made us each individual. He knew we had certain talents, mannerisms and personal styles that were unique to us. So many Christians cancel all that out and become these biblical robots. The excuse being “I can longer be of the world” but you are wasting all that God has given you because you have pushed some of the parts God wants you to use to spread His word back. If you have tattoos you could meet a non-believer who is more comfortable speaking to you because of your commonality. If you have a talent for singing or writing and it may have some words that people believe are not of God. However, the way you say it in your Spoken Word or your song has touched someone and made them rethink some things about their life, why bind that up.
By suppressing these things and not using those talents you are, as many would say, “no earthly good”

Use what God has given you personally. Don’t be a follower of other Christians be a follower of Christ. Read the word, study the word. God will reveal things to you. There is room in the kingdom of God for your talents. He gave them to you so don’t expect others to understand. That is when you take that leap of faith. Start that book club, dance team or cooking group. Trust me, those robots will keep moving along but you will be showing people that you are an original and not part of the “Christian Clique” Don’t waste that talent trying to fit in..stand out!!

John 13:35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
