I actually was stumped on my Toastmasters project this week. I wanted to finish up my Speaking to Inform/ advance manual. The project requirement was a demonstration project. I was so flustered as to what that would consist of. I know that seems crazy considering that I sew, crochet and all sorts of things with my hands. But when it cam down to this I was completely lost and it had to fit into the 5-7 minutes Toastmasters project requirement.
Well, as with many of my projects I came up with this at the last minute. I had done these jars several times for meal prep and decided this was perfect. It turned out to be a success. I won the best speaker ribbon, as well as taught my group how to create a salad in a jar. Many admitted to having seen it before online but appreciating the real life demonstration.
This reinforced something I am trying to get used to.
